1

In 2006 the song “Love” became the breakout single for R&B singer Keyshia Cole. Although it was her fourth official release from her debut album, ‘The Way It Is’, the single’s success put Cole on the map to become the next R&B singing sensation. With her heartfelt singles and powerful vocals it was clear Oakland’s own Keyshia Cole was here to stay. The song went on to peak #19 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart after gaining moment within weeks of its debut. It also charted #3 on the Hip-Hop/R&B chart becoming her breakthrough record until 2007 with the success of “Let It Go”. It also was a fan favorite on BET’s ‘106 & Park’, remaining #1 for several weeks on the music countdown program until it was officially retired after an overall 65 weeks. Very impressive huh? Let’s rehash with “Love”, shall we?
