Tiffany S. Williams is a force to be reckoned with. How so? As the Founder and CEO of Rich Girl Collective, an online training academy for women who are looking to turn their passion into a side hustle or a successful full-time business, she has single-handedly helped over 5,000 women do just that.
After unsubscribing from the narrative that women can’t “have it all” as a working professional, Tiffany has made it her life’s work to assist other women in transitioning from full-time employee to full-time entrepreneur; using online businesses as their vehicle.
Williams is a firm believer in the idea that “great reward follows hard work” and she uses this mantra to encourage others to get out of their own way so that they can live a life that brings them joy and fulfillment.
So as you can imagine, it was our pleasure to have Tiffany speak with By Her Own Rules exclusively to discuss why she’s passionate about helping women exit Corporate America and build successful businesses for themselves.
1. Since launching The Rich Girl Collectives 3 years ago to help women exit their 9-5 and build successful online businesses, how many women would you say you’ve helped in building profitable businesses?
Over this course of 3 years, I have helped over 5,000 women successfully start and maintain their business.
2. What’s the one piece of business advice for anyone ready to exit their 9-5?
What’s the first step in doing so? First thing is, do your research. Find something that you love, you’re passionate about, and serves a need. Secondly, do not stay in the research stage too long. The key is to research the need and what it takes to get there and begin to be proactive in starting your business. You must remember that it does not have to be perfect for you to start (#perfectisforthebroke). If I learned anything through my journey with Rich Girl Collective is that entrepreneurs stay too long researching and trying to perfect everything about their business before they get started and they get stuck there. But perfection is something that can happen as you go. So, to sum it up, research, pursue, and perfect as you go.
3. What about those finding themselves jobless amidst the pandemic and seeking a way to build a profitable online business but don’t know where to start?
My belief is that you don’t have to have money to make money. In times like the pandemic or when you feel like your back is against the wall, you try to find ways to make it. Many people are told that in order to create a profitable business you must have a significant amount of money to get started… and to that I say… NO YOU DON’T! Simply identify what you love doing, find guidance, and get started. Also, join Rich Girl Collective today!
4. I believe you’ve just adopted a little girl, is that right? Yes
5. How do you think motherhood may impact running a successful six-figure business? Or has it?
Yes & No. As a new mother, I am finding that I no longer can be nor do I want to be behind the computer all day. Children grow so fast, and with my daughter I don’t want to miss a moment. I’ve created systems to guarantee that I can make money even when I am away from the computer. And I’ve also learned to be okay with taking moments to simply focus on being a mother.
6. If there’s one thing you’ve learned from this experience on stepping out on faith and living life by your own rules, what would that be?
I’ve learned that the time is now, learning to build another source of income not out of need or desperation but to built it before a need like this occur. I’ve learned from my own life experiences that expenses don’t stop when tragedy, or unforeseen events happen. I made it my mission to create a situation-independent source of income that will always take care of me and my family. And that’s what I teach the women in my Facebook group.
7. What’s been the biggest challenge for you personally and business-wise and how did you persevere?
The biggest challenge was guaranteeing that I didn’t create another 9-5 but a job for myself that I woke up everyday ready to get
started. The mission became to create systems in which you can achieve financial stability and freedom.
8. What’s the next step for you in your business and journey now that you’re a mom?
Well, I haven’t shared this with many people, but I have been working to create a brand for my daughter that will teach financial literacy to young children through workbooks and literature. I wanted to create something that she can grow with that will set her up for the future and help other children; especially children of color.
In addition to Williams’ online business coaching programs, she is a digital marketing consultant, two-time best-selling author, and speaker with over 70,000 women in her private online communities. As an online business strategist, she teaches her students the same strategies that she learned and implemented while working in corporate America. It’s that which has propelled her to unprecedented levels of online business success.
When she isn’t helping her students build their business, she is consulting corporations on their digital marketing strategy
and workplace community culture. To date, Tiffany has been featured by and contributes to Forbes, Thrive Global, and Addicted 2 Success. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, working out at the gym, and traveling the world.
If you are looking for a relevant, relatable, and real voice to pour into your employees, students, or clients, Tiffany S. Williams, is your match. Tiffany is available for keynote presentations, expert panels, workshop host, or corporate “lunch and learn” sessions.
