When you’re a celebrity with a very large bank account, it’s easy to look on point and fashionable when you have personal stylists and shoppers who wait on you hand and foot. Now if you’re not a celebrity with a stylist, you can still be a fashionista by developing your personal style. Here are a few tips on how to create your own look.

Before you start out with a new wardrobe you have to know how you like to dress. Are you an edgy, conservative, casual, or trendy person? When you’re shopping you want to get clothing that is age appropriate and also something that you can wear to work. If you worked at a doctor’s office you wouldn’t come to work in distressed jeans would you?

Allow yourself to be inspired by others. You should definitely look through magazines or window shop for fashion ideas. If you have a celebrity whose style you really admire, then allow them to be your inspiration as well.

Know your body and try to dress to your body shape. It’s all about finding the right wardrobe that fits your look and accentuates your assets.

Stay inside your comfort zone but don’t be afraid to take risks. If you wear more flats than you do stilettos, than don’t try to torture yourself. Add some pieces to your wardrobe that may be a little different than your current style. Take baby steps while experimenting with fashion.

Remember CK readers when it comes to fashion there is no right or wrong. Just make sure that you are confident in yourself and your look.
