Tori Spelling Speaks Near Death Experience During Child Birth

Six weeks after his birth, Tori Spelling introduces baby Finn Davey McDermott, born on August 30th, on the cover of Us Magazine.

She calls her tiny little bundle of joy a miracle baby. Tori reveals she had a near death experience when she was diagnosed with Placenta Previa just twenty weeks into her pregnancy. The condition occurs when the placenta covers the cervix, leading to massive internal bleeding. She also reveals she was even at risk of terminating her pregnancy if excessive bleeding occurred.

Tori recalls being afraid of potentially dying and leaving her three other children behind. Finn joins Liam, 5, Stella, 4, and Hattie, 12 months old with husband and actor Dean McDermott.

She says, “I just remember thinking, I can’t leave three children behind.” Fortunately for Tori she and Finn made it through the delivery.

“When they put him in my arms I was like, ‘We made it.”” she tells Us. “We have an insane bond. We’ve been through hell and back,” says Tori.

Three weeks later she would undergo emergency surgery when her C-section scars burst open. Baby and mom are now fine.

You can check out the exclusive interview and eight page spread including photos of baby Finn and the rest of the McDermott clan in US latest issue on newsstands now.
