Although few details were revealed about the birth of Tyler Perry‘s first child with his longtime girlfriend Gelila Bekele, we can now confirm that not only is the baby boy doing well but he’s “beautiful” according to the proud pop.
Perry shared a first photo, Thursday night, officially announcing the birth of his son, Aman, while also unveiling the baby nursery.
Upon sharing the photo Perry writes, “I have traveled the world trying to find the peace that I have when I’m holding my sleeping son in my arms. God thank you! Amen for Aman. He’s beautiful!!”
It was last September when we learned that the producer and actor would be welcoming his first child. Weeks later, not only did Perry confirm the news, but he did so while accidentally revealing the sex of the unborn child.
The baby boy is said to have been born in late November (Nov. 30, 2014). “Everyone is doing great,” a source confirmed to E! News in early December. “They are so happy,” the source added.
Perry and Bekele have reportedly had an on-off relationship for the last five years. Congratulations to the happy couple and first time parents!
