The town of Ferguson, Missouri, is still mending their broken hearts from unarmed teen, Michael Brown, after being shot and killed by a white police officer, Darren Wilson, last month. Unfortunately things aren’t getting any better.

Early Tuesday, the cancellation of Ferguson’s annual music festival was announced by officials after a memorial that was set up for Brown by family, friends and supporters was burned to ashes. The fire is said to have started about 6:30 a.m on Canfield Drive, the street where Mike Brown was fatally shot.

Many angry residents congregated in the area and refused to believe that one of the candles was responsible for the incident. “Not one candle can put all the stuff that was up there on fire,” one woman told CBS St. Louis. The fire is currently under investigation.

After the Mike Brown shooting, protests and chaos consumed many large cities and college campuses around America. The U.S Department of Justice is still investigating the shooting by a grand jury.

We will keep you all posted.
