In some sad news, business investor, Warren Buffett announced he has been diagnosed with stage I prostate cancer in a letter to shareholders of his firm Berkshire Hathaway, late Tuesday afternoon.

Buffett, 81,says his “condition is not remotely life-threatening or even debilitating in any meaningful way,” and no traces of cancer was found anywhere else in his body.

He went on to say, “I feel great — as if I were in my normal excellent health — and my energy level is 100%. I will let shareholders know immediately should my health situation change. Eventually, of course, it will; but I believe that day is a long way off.”

Buffett also reveals he’ll undergo daily radiation for two months beginning in mid-July, as per doctors orders and although the treatment will restrict him from traveling during that time he’ll continue with daily routines and conducting business.

Fortunately for Buffett, his early diagnosis and treatment will likely allow him to make a full recovery. In fact, 95% of all prostate cancer patience diagnosed in its early stages, make complete recoveries. We wish him well.
