A few months ago, we reported that 90’s R&B group ‘SWV’ (Sisters With Voices) were rumored to have landed their very own reality show. We can now confirm that this is very much true.
WE tv has agreed to an unscripted, six, one-hour episodes of the show, simply titled “Sisters With Voices”.
“The journey of SWV is the kind of real and personal comeback story our viewers love to see,” said Lauren Gellert, WE tv’s senior vice president of original production and development. “These dynamic women experienced enormous success together, then it all fell apart. United again, the stakes are higher than ever, and so – at times – is the drama and tension. We can’t wait to present this fresh, new series to WE tv viewers.”
Cheryl “Coko” Clemons, Leanne “Lelee” Lyons and Tamara “Taj” Johnson will document their reunion after 15 years of separation, showcasing their journey to recapture the fame they once had in the 90’s. We’ll get to see the recording process for their new album, confronting pass and present issues that left the group disbanded, and who the ladies have becomes as wives, mothers, and friends.
“Sisters With Voices” is scheduled for an early 2014 premiere. Will you be watching?
