If you all had the privilege to watch Diane Sawyer’s 20/20 interview with Bruce Jenner, Friday night, then you may have been checked to learn a few interesting things about the former U.S. gold medal and record breaking triathlon.
Rumors have been swarming for months that Jenner, whose previously been accused of being a cross dresser, had decided to permanently change his gender to transition into a woman. We can now confirm that the rumors were true.
Following his split from wife, Kris Jenner, two years ago after 23 years of marriage, many were shocked to learn that the speculation had an ounce of truth. But, we now know that gender identification is something totally different from sexual orientation.
Although Jenner, now 67, has been married three times and has six biological children as well as four step-children, he explains that he has never been with a man and never desired being with a man. He adds that he’s still attractive to women but isn’t sure what will happen when his transition from man to woman is complete.
Bruce also explains that his desires to be a woman began when he was a young boy,, perhaps 8 years old, when he was growing up in Tarrytown, NY. He also reveals that he used to sneak and hide to dress in his sister’s clothing when they were small children and would walk around as a woman.
What other shocking revelations? Bruce’s transition into the “her” we haven’t yet met began back in the 80’s when he made the decision to change and began taking hormones following a therapy session. He would later change his mind after considering how the change would affect his small children at the time.
As for his kids now? When interviewed by Sawyer’s, his elder children, Burt, Cassandra, Brandon and Brody all voiced their support of their father’s father’s decision to become a woman. His youngest children Kendall and Kylie Jenner, also issued their own statement to ABC in support of their dad as well.
As for his famous step-children, Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob Kardashian, although some a bit hesitant, Bruce says that Kim K has been the most supportive.
And you may be surprised but Jenner’s three ex-wives have also offered up their support for his transition
