The 2013 Grammy Award Nominees Announced, Frank Ocean & The Throne (Jay Z, Kanye West) Lead With Six Nominations

Taylor Swift and LL Cool J were on hand to announce the nominees for the 2013 Grammy Awards during Wednesday night awards announcement special. The GRAMMY Nominations Live Concert was held at the Bridgestone Arena  in Nashville, Tennessee. Frank Ocean and The Throne (Jay Z & Kanye West) lead with six nominations they tie with Mumford & Son, Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys and indie group Fun for six nominations. Miguel nabbed five nominations with his critically acclaimed album ‘Adorned’, and Nas received four noms for ‘Life Is Good’. Although the ladies didn’t fair well this go around, Rihanna and Janelle Monae were able to capture three nominations each.

Other nominees included, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Estelle, Elle Varner, Tamia, Tyrese, Anthony Hamilton, SWV, R. Kelly, and Luke James in the R&B category while Drake, Lil Wayne, Big Sean, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa, Wale, and Lupe Fiasco among the rappers.
