Octavia Spencer took home the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role for film ‘The Help’.
Idris Elba took home his award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series/Motion Picture Made for TV for his work in the British mini-series Luther. Idris is originally from Britain with a strong British accent. He hides it will in his American films, as you may already know.
Michelle Williams took home her award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture for film My Week with Marilyn.Her performance was so spot on, she’s expected to take home the Oscar for her role in the movie as well.
Best Actress in A Television Series went to Claire Danes for ‘Homeland’.
Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy went to the very funny ‘Modern Family’.
