Ever wonder how some of today’s top celebrities lose weight and keep it off? One minute they’re on the red carpet 9 months pregnant and the next thing you know they’re starring in a movie looking like they did ten years ago! Does their fame and fortune afford them some secret weight loss pill that immediately sucks up all the fat in all the right places? Try as you may to shed pounds and keep them off, it’s like a battle that can take you ions to get past.

While some celebrity solutions to weight loss may be a bit out of your price range or even a bit over the top, there are some great tidbits of advice that you can take from your favorite stars and apply it to your own life. Here are just a few of them:

  1. Lose Weight for You

Celebrities are always being scrutinized for how they look. While this is a critique that comes with the territory, falling into the viewpoints of others can do more harm than good. At the top of the list is why you want to lose weight. Don’t ever lose weight because you think it will get you more attention or because someone else made a comment that hurt your feelings. You’ve got to lose weight because it’s what you want to do. The only way you can really lose the pounds and keep them off is if you’re the motivator. Doing it for others can cause you to fall off track time and time again.

  1. Take Your Time

It can seem like celebrities lose weight quickly but dropping pounds in an instant is not necessarily the healthiest way to lose weight. Celebrities like Khloe Kardashian took more than a year to get excess weight off. The reason? These things take time. Shocking your body into diet and exercise changes too soon can cause you to lose motivation too fast. Take your time in losing weight and set goals. It is better to take your time and find a healthy routine that works well. This will make it easier to make things a habit.

  1. Pick a Diet and Exercise Plan and Stick to It

You hear all the time about individuals who try a new diet or exercise program because it’s the “it” thing to do. Sure it can be fun to do something that everyone is doing, but everyone does not gain or lose weight the same. What worked for one person may not necessarily work for you. Take your time in researching various diet and exercise programs and choose one that interests you. Allow time for reasonable progress and stick to it.

  1. Find Creative Ways to Workout

When you think about exercising, all you think about is lifting weights, walking on a treadmill, or running. This might not seem so enticing to those that don’t like this form of exercising. The good news is this is not the only way that you can get a good workout in. Try other things such as dancing, playing a sport, or even taking a daily walk around the neighborhood. Just ask celebrities like Kelly Osborne who shed quite a few pounds on Dancing with the Stars.

  1. Just Get up and Move

Celebrities like Jessica Simpson lost a great deal of weight by simply making an effort to walk at least 8,000 steps per day. It may seem like a lot, but you can do it easily with a little effort. Park a little further away from the mall and walk, take the stairs instead of the elevator, walk around your office a few times. Essentially, shedding pounds is about burning calories. Get that heart rate pumping and simply move around as often as possible.

  1. Allow Yourself a Cheat Day (or Two)

Restricting yourself from the things you love most can sometimes make it a lot harder to lose weight. Even celebrities indulge in a little tasty treat from time to time. If you’ve been on a diet or exercise routine and have been seeing good results, reward yourself with a cheat day where all rules are out the door. It gives you something to look forward to.

  1. Make it a Social Thing

Sometimes going it alone can be boring. The good thing is that there are plenty of people that are trying to lose weight and live healthier lives that you can connect with. Grab some friends and family members and meet up to make exercising more fun and engaging. Schedule weekly walks through the park, or healthy cooking classes and invite everyone along. Not only can you learn from one another, but it gives you motivation to know that you’re not the only one struggling.

  1. Invest in All Natural Support Products

Using all natural vitamins and dietary supplements can help you in reaching your weight loss goals a bit faster. When deciding on a supplement, be sure that you do your homework. Not only should you check out the company’s main website, but check social media sites to see what others have to say. For instance, if you were interested in energy boosting dietary supplements, you might look at companies such as Healthy Trim. Checking social media would allow you to see a Healthy Trim review provided by consumers. Don’t just stop at reviews though, you can also look to see Healthy Trim results by checking out before and after pictures, tips, and other information consumers might post about a particular product.

So you see, celebrities are not as “amazing” as we make them out to be. They too struggle with dieting and weight loss. However, they simply find a way that works for them and stick to it. Hopefully these tips will inspire you to stay on the path to healthy living. With time, dedication, and the right weight loss regimen, you should be “red carpet” ready in no time.
