During his interview with Tavis Smiley, for the first time, Seal addresses the announcement of his pending divorce. Although he was there to promote his latest album, ‘Soul 2’, in wake of his separation, he decided to clear the air about his feelings for wife Heidi Klum.
Here’s a bit of what he had to say.
“We have a tremendous amount of love and respect for each other and of course our children are our first priority and I think we pretty much said everything that we needed to say in the statement that we released but how does one stay focus? Just because you decide to separate I don’t think you all of a sudden stop loving each other, I don’t think you all of a sudden stop becoming friends, especially, when there are other things to take into consideration like family. And so, to be honest, it’s not really that difficult and it’s not really that much of an issue. What one has to do in this situation is to remain civil, and to retain one’s dignity, to be professional, and to understand that we are not the only people on this planet that are going through this.It is just unfortunate a chapter of life.”
On whether they’ll l have an ugly breakup Seal went on to say, “We’re just not those types of people and we never have been.”
