Newly engaged couple, Erica Mena and Shad Moss are still going strong.
In fact, the rapper, actor and ‘106 & Park’ host is taking his role as step-dad seriously. Over the weekend, the reality starlet shared a recent photo of herself, Moss and her young son, King. The trio seemed to have been enjoying each others company and being silly while making funny faces for the camera.
Although she’s done a pretty good job of keeping her son out of the spotlight, Erica did share another photo of her son solo, this time, also sharing a very touching message.
She writes,
My KING The love I have, and I know your Dad does too, is a huge love and one that comes from a place of wanting all the best things in life for you. But maybe even though we love you so much, we aren’t supposed to be perfect. Maybe that is part of the plan for all of us as people. For us to experience Life, LIVE Learn GROW. It forces us to find strength within ourselves and in the end all we really have is Ourselves (and God who made us to be ourselves). I hope you will love yourself enough to ALWAYS know this. I hope you will find a way to fill those spaces for yourself ALWAYS. My hope is that you will learn to be at peace with yourself even when you feel that people don’t “get” you – that took me a long time in life and I hope you find that place sooner than me. It is a good place. You can never lose the love we have for you ‼️ That is a constant and I know you want our approval of all things you do but ” If” that approval doesn’t come at every turn, know that the love is always there. No matter what happens in the future, know that I am always trying my best. I always put your needs above mine, and will drop anything I’m doing in a second if you need me. From the moment I held you on the first day you were born, I felt an instant connection with you that can only be described as the purest form of love that exists. You have taught me so many things about myself and life in general. You have permanently changed me for the better. I will teach you everything I know, and how to have thick skin when it comes to other people. One day you will be out in this world, all by yourself, but I want you to know I am always with you. In the past, Erica has spoken out publicly about King’s father, Raul, and the physical abuse she endured during the course of the relationship. We’re happy she was able to speak of him in a more positive light this time around.
