Amanda Bynes has been released from the Malibu, CA rehabilitation facility she’s resided in for five months.
Bynes’ attorney, Tamar Arminak, confirmed the news to PEOPLE, also adding that she’ll be going to live with her parents at their Los Angeles home.
“Amanda and her entire family would like to thank everyone who’s contacted them with good thoughts and wishes for Amanda’s recovery,” Arminak stated. “Amanda has completed her inpatient rehabilitation and she’s feeling better every day.”
For much of the last year, the 27-year-old actress has faced some personal struggles in her life.
From her multiple arrests for DUI, Twitter rants and bizarre behavior, as well as a brief stay in a mental institution, Bynes was ordered to enter a rehabilitation center to seek treatment back in July.
On what’s the next step for the actress? “She’s now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design,” Arminak says. “She’s mentioned before she’s interested in creating a clothing line.”
“Despite the fact Amanda is no longer in a facility, her outpatient treatment is continuing. She’s very happy to reestablish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared,” Arminak added.
Bynes’ mother Lynn will remain in indefinite control over Bynes’ finances and well-being.
We wish her well.
