R. Kelly may be going to jail, but, it’s not for what you may think.
Mr. Robert Kelly seems to be behind in his child support payments to ex-wife Andrea Kelly.
According to Page Six, in paperwork filed by Mrs. Kelly, on Thursday, the R&B singer owes her $20, 833 in back child support.
The claim comes after a previous report that the singer failed to pay $100,000 in support, last year, but later paid off the debt.
Following a no show at his child support hearing, last November, the singer’s attorney fears he may be put behind bars if he misses his March 27th hearing. In fact, the singer could face 30 days to six months behind bars.
“The judge was clear in November that he wasn’t happy R. Kelly didn’t show up,” said a source. “His lawyer is worried the judge could lock Kelly up if he doesn’t show this time, but he can’t reach his client.”
The news comes shortly after the announcement that the singer’s ex has just gotten engaged to boyfriend Brian McKee (See HERE). Despite her new found joy, it’s clear, Andrea isn’t letting up on the child support payments.

The couple plan to wed, just days before Kelly’s child support hearing, on March 12.

If the money (BANK check or money order) isn’t coughed up by or on the next court date, lock him up.
