Amina Buddafly Talks Motherhood & Her Future on LHHNY

Love and Hip Hop: New York reality star, Amina Buddafly invited fans to watch her perform at New York City’s The Bitter End, Wednesday (November 4, 2015), and we were on hand to speak to the songstress.

While Amina’s appearance on the popular reality show and all the drama surrounding her relationship with husband and producer, Peter Gun (yes the duo are still very much married), it’s easy to forget that she’s a really talented musician.

Amina, who is one half of girl group Black Buddafly with twin sister Jazz, not only writes her own music, she plays the piano and the guitar too.

The acoustic set was refreshing. Watching Buddafly in her element almost makes you forget that she’s a reality star, but, more so a really talented artist who just happens to be on a messy reality series.

On her R&B infused new album, My Music, Amina says that it’s “available online at iTunes or Google play and also available at Best Buy,” for her fans.

And not only will Buddafly be on the upcoming season 6 of LHHNY, which airs December 14th, Amina says “I’m much more peaceful and no matter what drama I go through my regular day doesn’t consist of being emotional and crying.”

We also asked Amina how her life has changed since having one year old daughter, Cori Pankey.

“[Despite all the TV drama] I focus on my daughter, first, then whatever else is going on,” she shared.

As for what she wants people to know about her despite all the chaos depicted on the popular reality series, “I’m not stupid,” she adds jokingly.

Also on hand to support her the night was her husband and fellow LHHNY co-star and talent manager Rich Dollaz.
