Ashanti joined Andy Cohen on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” to discuss upcoming album, “Brave Heart”. When asked by a caller what she thought about Rihanna and Ciara she expressed she felt Rihanna is “free” and “killin’ it right now” and that there is room for all the female artists to do their thing.
She shared the above photo on Instagram, to fans, adding, “In case y’all missed “watch what happens live” on bravo it comes on again at 230am EST we had a blast lmaooo!! #whywetewetwerkingtho @theoriginalmomanger & Christina Ricci Yassss @dontaysavoy2 for that hair #Braveheart”.
During her interview, when asked if her new single also titled “Brave Heart” is about her ex-boyfriend Nelly she answered, “It’s a real record that was inspired by a real experience. It came from a real place. Let’s just say that.”
Andy Cohen then chimed in, “Let’s just say…yes! It is about Nelly.”
Ashanti, not denying his claims, practically admitted it was true when laughed at the comment.
