In the beginning of Brandy‘s career, 1994 to be exact, she remixed her hit single, “I Wanna Be Down,” with rappers MC Lyte, Queen Latifah and Yo-Yo. Twenty years later, the ladies reunited during a sit down interview on the Queen Latifah show.
Of the hit remix Brandy says, “I was so star struck. I was a total groupie with you [Queen Latifah], MC Lyte, and Yo-Yo, and I wasn’t shy about it. To work with these women I had grown up watching was a total dream come true.”
After being joined by Yo-Yo and MC Lyte, Latifah admits to rewriting her rhymes after hearing what MC Kyte had to say.
