In some very sad news, Bravo’s ‘Blood Sweat and Heels‘ star Daisy Lewellyn, 36, has just passed away after battling a rare form of cancer.
After a tumor was discovered in her bile duct while doing press for the show’s first season in 2014, the style expert and makeover guru subsequently had it removed. Sadly, additional cancer cells were later discovered.
But the always smiling and exuberant star was not about to let the diagnosis get the best of her.
In an interview last year Lewellyn declared, “I have cancer – cancer doesn’t have me. Every day comes with its challenges, but that doesn’t stop me from celebrating what I have in my life,” she said. Daisy, who also appeared on Today Wednesday morning, said she decided to open up about her health because she wanted to have a positive impact, “I wanted to turn this tragedy into triumph by sharing my story in hopes that even one person could feel inspired.”
Millions of us would witness her brave battle during the show’s second season and were inspired by her bravery and ability to remain positive through it all.
“I wanted to keep the doorway open to viewers because everyone knows me to have this fabulous life – I’m in fashion, drinking champagne, wearing high heels – and boom,” she added.
Sadly Lewellyn would lose that fight early Friday morning. We want to send our deepest condolences to her family during this very difficult time.
May she rest in peace.
