In some very shocking news, Janet Jackson announced Wednesday morning that she is expecting her first child.

Upon sharing a YouTube video on her official website, the pop icon thanked millions of fans, around the world, for their support during her ‘Unbreakable’ world tour, which she kicked off last summer.

Despite being in the second leg of the world tour Jackson made the disappointing news that it would have to come to an end. But, all for good reasons.

“I think it’s important that you be the first to know, my husband and I are planning our family…. so I’m going to have to delay the tour,” Jackson stated.

“Please understand that it’s important that I do this now,” she continued. “I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.”

Jackson then went on to thank her dancers, her band and her sponsors and supporters.

The news comes as a bit of a surprise considering the pop-icon, whose been married twice before, will turn 50 next month.

Jackson’s husband, Wissam Al Mana, 41, is a billionaire business mogul whom she wed privately in 2012.

However, it wasn’t until early 2013 when the couple officially announced that they had tied the knot after months of speculation. The statement read, “Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony….we would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy. With love, Wissam and Janet.”

The couple, reportedly, met and began dating in 2010. The is will also be the first child for the businessman.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
