Abby Wake, was shocked to have learned that she was eight months pregnant when her boyfriend, Jarryd Gorman, insisted she go to the doctor for a check up.
Gorman became suspicious when he felt their baby kick after placing his hand on Wake’s stomach while at a concert.
He said, ‘”I felt the baby kick and I looked at her and said, ‘I think you’re definitely pregnant.’ [I said] we need to go see someone straight away.’”
The couple then went to Dr. Payman Joseph, an OB-GYN and discovered that Wake was already 32 weeks along.
According to the Daily Mail, Wake had no idea she was pregnant because she didn’t experience any pregnancy symptoms and always had irregular periods.
And according to the couple’s doctor, the discovery isn’t all that surprising. In fact, it happens more frequently than we think. However, he did acknowledge that Wake was slimmer than most women who were eight months pregnant, which could be part of the reason it went undetected.
Additionally, Wake is lactose intolerant and thought the movements in her stomach had something to do with her condition. She said, “There weren’t, like, kicks and huge movements. It was just like gurgles.”
What plans are the couple now putting in place to welcome son, Isaiah? Wake and Gorman have created a GoFundMe account in anticipation to welcome baby.
On their GoFundMe account their message reads,

I want to help her so she doesn’t have to stress, this way she’ll be able to focus on me while we (mommy, daddy, and me) prepare in our last months. With only two months to go, you can see why she’s having a virtual baby shower! A big time crunch and no work allowed makes a very busy mommy.
I am very proud of the movement my mommy created and I know that A.WAKE has already made me a better man. So many amazing ladies that I have been listening to all this time and I can’t wait to meet you so very soon. My mommy loves you all very much and just needs a little push to help her while prepping for me and for when I arrive.
