Chad Johnson was sentenced to 30 days in jail earlier today, perhaps, for his own stupidity.
Johnson, whose lawyer was close to working out a deal for his client to avoid jail time for a probation violation, got the sentence after slapping his male lawyer on the butt.
The judge found the gesture offensive and removed the deal off the table. In fact, Johnson is slated to spend more time than he would have if he’d been found guilty of his original offense — his probation violation.
His probation was also extended until December 2013 and has been “rewarded” an additional 25 hours of community service to go along with his mandated anger management counseling.
Johnson was arrested and summoned to court back in May when his probation officer reported he hadn’t been fully complying with the terms of his probation, stemming from his domestic dispute with ex-wife Eveyln Lozada and arrest last summer.
