Chris Brown‘s guardian angel is working overtime. The singer has avoided jail time once again.

Following his growing list of outbursts and assault charges in the last few years, Los Angeles prosecutors would be more than happy to send the singer straight to jail.

Still on probation for his 2009 assault on Rihanna, Brown has made a number of court appearances on whether he has violated his probation after a few minor run-ins with the law.

Most recently, the singer was accused of assaulting a man in the Washington, DC area following a night club appearance last October.

Prosecutors argued that “Brown’s violent behavior continues to increase in severity and frequency” and he poses “an increasing danger to society.”

Prosecutors also insist that after further examination of Brown’s DC case, they believe there is enough evidence to prove Brown’s guilt and violation of his probation.

Thankfully for the singer, however, the judge in the case feels otherwise. In fact, the judge believes its best that the singer commits to his 90-day stint in rehab for anger management.

And, we have to agree with the judge. Addressing his issues head on and not be sent straight to jail is certainly in the singer’s best interest.

We’ll keep you posted on any new developments.
