Chris Brown has just cancelled a string of shows for a Canadian concert series.
Following the singer’s recent legal and personal troubles, he along with his team has decided touring, at the moment, probably isn’t the best idea.
“After ongoing conversation and consultation with this year’s headline act Chris Brown, and in light of the performer’s recent personal and health-related issues, a decision has been made to cancel all four scheduled performances,” Stephen Tobin, owner of the concert promoter Drop Entertainment, said in an official statement.
“In the absence of a festival headliner, we cannot proceed,” he added.
Brown recently received 1000 extra hours of community service and an extra year on probation.
The sentencing comes after accusations the singer falsified evidence he completed his initial 1400 hours of community service stemming from his 2009 assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
Brown also suffered a seizure in his Los Angeles studio a week prior — refusing medical assistance. According to the singer, his recent stresses and seizure came as a result of being bullied by the media for the past four years since the assault.
The shows were initially scheduled for August 29th through September 1st.
