Ciara Dispels Rumors of Breakup with NFL Beau

Russell Wilson, quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, would seemingly have nothing to complain about since being drafted to Seattle in 2012, outside of one interception that cost him Super Bowl XLIX. Since joining the Seahawks, Wilson has secured a starting job in the NFL, played in two Super Bowls, winning one of them, and has signed multiple endorsement deals with major players like Nike and Levi’s. Most
would assume that this run of success would be the peak of the young QB’s life but if his current life is an indication, he is still on the rise.

Wilson is poised to become one of the highest paid players in the NFL with his upcoming contract extension, his Seattle Seahawks are predicted by Gambling.com associates to return to the Super
Bowl, he made a cameo in the upcoming Entourage movie, and is currently dating pop-singer and bombshell Ciara.

Like the interception that cost him a second straight Super Bowl, Wilson has had a few hiccups along the road to stardom including rumors that him and his dreamy girlfriend were breaking things off but fortunately for Wilson, just like the interception that looked like potential pass interference, this relationship isn’t being called back.

Ciara and her NFL beau were first seen together at a Seattle Mariners game back in April. The couple busted onto the celeb couples scene when they attended the White House State Dinner together and the media went nuts. The adorable pair posed for photos together and confirmed they were dating.

A few days ago, reports did surface that the couple had plans to take a break from the relationship when someone close to the situation explained to E!, “They haven’t broken up yet, but things are not looking good.” It began to seem like the golden-boy Wilson’s lucky streak was coming to an end with the memorable interception and the potential loss of his new crush, but Ciara squashed all those rumors with her recent Instagram post; Ciara gave a Throw-Back-Thursday to her “bae” with a picture of them and a caption reading, “That’s Bae Today. #TBT.”

Wilson filed for divorce from his wife of two years back in April 2014 and Ciara called off an engagement with rapper Future a little later in August 2014. The two seem much happier in their new and budding relationship and for the sake of anyone who loves an adorable celebrity relationship, let’s hope it stays that way.

And things seem to be steaming up pretty quickly. The pair was spotted talking a stroll with the singer’s one year old son, Future, in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday.
