Dear Cosmo, “You tried it!”
Social media was in a frenzy Sunday night when Cosmopolitan magazine declared the Kardashian and Jenner bunch America’s First Family on the cover of their November 2015 50th anniversary issue.
The cover includes matriarch Kris Jenner and her five stunning daughters, Kim K, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian along side her two youngest daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
I personally could care less about how the Kardashian and Jenner clan rose to fame, however, to call them the “First Family” may have been pushing the envelope a bit.
Perhaps, the “First Family of Television” would have been more suiting.
Besides, what message are we sending here?
That if you flaunt your body, riches, controversial and messy relationships and break ups you’ll attain success?
What about the millions of hard working class Americans who get up each and every day and work very hard to put them selves and their children through school, who are upstanding citizens, who are faced with trials and tribulations and yet get up to do it again each and every day?
The Kardashian and Jenners have given back to charities and also face trials and tribulations, but, they are not the norm. They are the exception tot he rule and live a lifestyle many of us would never be able to afford.
