After Elle magazine released four covers of their “The Women in TV Issue” issues, on Monday, critics were quick to point out the difference between Mindy Kaling,, an Indian-American actress of ‘The Mindy Project’, and that of three other women actresses, including Amy Poehler, Zooey Deschanel and Allison Williams.

While Mindy’s cover was presented as a black-and-white close up, the other three ladies (all white actresses by the way), were all featured on the cover in full-length spreads and in color. Critics speculated Mindy’s cover was purposely done in the way it had been because of her fuller figure — hiding her curvy frame.

The controversy sparked so much debate, it was the topic of discussion for much of the day.

Now, Kaling is finally addressing the controversy and sharing her own thoughts on the matter.

Taking to Twitter Mindy tweeted, “I love my @ELLEmagazine cover,” she wrote on Monday. “It made me feel glamorous & cool. And, if anyone wants to see more of my body, go on thirteen dates with me.”

Coming to their own defense, Elle also tweeted, “Mindy looks sexy, beautiful and chic,” the magazine said. “We think it is a striking and sophisticated cover, and are thrilled to celebrate her in our ‘Women in TV Issue.’”

Here’s a full length photo Kaling recently shared with fans.
