Singer Janelle Monae had a very touching moment after meeting one of her young fans.
After surprising 12-year-old Makenzie, who thought she won the opportunity to perform a number by her favorite singer on The Queen Latifah Show, it was Monae who was moved to tears after learning just how much she was loved by the pre-teen.
Of her accomplishments and Makenzie’s admiration Monae says, “Never in a million years would I think that I would see a young black girl wanting to look like me.”
