Keri Hilson has just confirmed her split with boyfriend Serge Ibaka.
Although the singer and the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball player dated for well over a year, it seems they are no more.
The Jasmine Brand caught up with the singer, Tuesday night, at the “About Last Night” movie premiere and was asked about her plans for Valentine’s Day.
“This is going to be an interesting Valentine’s Day.”
“That’s all I’ll say. It’s going to be interesting. I’m working, I’m just busy, I’m busy. I feel like right now, music is my boyfriend. That’s how I feel, right now. So, I don’t know.”
On her advise to women Hilson adds, “Know who you are. Umm, never drop your standards, for anyone. That’s it. And I mean that in every sense of the relationship. Business, you know whatever, if there’s a certain standard that you uphold, and you’re so strong-minded. There are some things that you [can] tweak in a relationship, but not your standard. Not that.”
We wonder what could have happened to cause the split? Perhaps, a Hilson album (whenever that may be) will reveal some of the couple’s plight and the singer’s true feelings.
