Daniel “Boobie” Gibson formerly of the Cleveland Cavaliers and husband to singer Keyshia Cole was arrested earlier today on assault on battery charges.
The incident allegedly happened a few weeks back during the 2013 Essence music festival. The athlete reportedly turned himself in to the New Orleans police department on an altercation that happened at the event.
Gibson was later released at approximately 11:09 am.
At this time the details are sketchy but we hope Gibson’s accuser isn’t female. It wouldn’t sit well to know he is a potential woman beater and married to a well known singer.
