Well, isn’t this interesting. The 23 year old man that accused Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash of beginning an inappropriate relationship with him when he was sixteen is now changing his story.
Monday news broke that Kevin Clash, 52, had been put on mandatory leave following allegations he had a sexual relationship with an underage boy. The allegations had been pending a thorough investigation by Sesame Workshop (the children’s programming production company). Today, the man release an official statement through his attorney.
The statement reads, “[the man] wants it to be known that his sexual relationship with Mr.Clash was an adult consensual relationship. He’ll have no further comments.”
As for Clash he also released his own statement adding, “I am relieved that this painful allegation has been put to rest. I will not discuss it further.”
As to why the accuser is now changing his story, TMZ reports Clash’s lawyer was in negotiations with the lawyer of the accuser and 6-figures were offered up.
