Smart move Mathew. You knew people would want to hear what you had to say and you chose the perfect time to do so. Following daughter Beyonce Knowles‘ HBO documentary “Life Is But A Dream”, Mathew Knowles conducted an interview with CNN. Although Knowles was a bit reluctant to speak about his daughter as a mother and his grand daughter baby Blue Ivy, he did have a few interesting things to say.
On Beyonce’s recent National Anthem lip-syncing scandal and whether she was treated fairly Mr. Knowles said, “Beyonce is a performer, I’ve been in entertainment for 20 years, there is no such thing as fair.”
On his response to her documetary, surprisingly, Mr. Knowles said this,
“I’m proud to see her as a mother. I know this was something very important to her and to see her hold Blue Ivy—that’s something very special. I have a picture that no one else will ever get to see of her holding Blue Ivy. You can see the joy in her face.”
During the documentary Beyonce made it clear that she and her dad hadn’t totally patched things up since she made the decision to fire her as her manager. Withing the first 5 minutes of the film the singer admits she needed boundaries and wanted her father to be her dad. She also admits that the strain the decision has put on their relationship has tarnished her soul.
Glad to see his love for his daughter didn’t allow him to grow bitter and still continues to say how proud he is of her. Well done Mathew.

One day their relationship will be repaired. But did we notice that Bey didn’t mention anything about her baby brother?
