Men Need to Stop Giving Women Unsolicited Relationship Advice

2

I’m not sure about you, but I’m tired of men giving women unsolicited relationship advice about what we need to do in order to have healthy relationships. How about they take that same energy and advise other men on how to better treat women?

Thank you Steve Harvey, Derrick Jaxn, Stephan (Speakes) Labossiere and all the other men who’ve made it their mission to save women from men who don’t mean us any good. But there’s one problem. One that I recognize anyway. Who’s going to make it their mission to advise men? To advise boys watching men making poor decisions about what they need to do to have better intimate relationships. What will “saving” women from no good men do if there’s not enough effort to address and mentor the men that are no good? Where’s the balance?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure these men have good intentions; some of the advice I’ve heard and agree with. But how will their advice help women in the long run if our male counterparts aren’t meeting us half way. Nor understand why they need to.

We need more men taking heed to building better romantic relationships along with us. Who want to properly court us, engage with us, treat us and be better examples for the young men watching and learning by example.

It seems there’s a market for “prying on vulnerable women.” There’s profitability on creating brands and merchandise in this niche market. It’s for this reason that I wonder how genuine the advice and intentions are? In fact, one of the most popular and current relationship advice guru, Derrick Jaxn, has garnered nearly 650k YouTube subscribers and 1.2 millions Instagram followers.

I’m especially bothered by men who’ve had a history of preying on women, have been misogynistic, soaked their royal oats, gotten to a particular age [Steve Harvey], settle down and are now advising women about finding good men. Why not save men who are currently what they use to be? Who are they really helping? Women or their pockets?

Good advice or not, am I wrong for posing these questions? Just don’t shoot the messenger.

What are your thoughts, are you too tired of men giving women unsolicited relationship advice?

In the meantime, check out one of Jaxn’s videos on not giving up on good men.
