Could Nelly be a bit in his feelings at the moment? That would be a yes.
After his now ex-girlfriend, Tae Heckard, went public with NBA player Brandon Jennings on Monday, the rapper declared he was single and couldn’t give a bleep.
The 40 year old shared the above image of himself, on Tuesday, adding, “Hold up…. !! I’m 100% single…! So what…!!”
The image and message comes as a surprise considering the rapper has always maintained his anonymity when it came to his personal life.
We’re guessing he didn’t see that one coming.
Earlier in the week, the actress and basketball player both shared images of each other on social media for the world to see. Although they’d been publicly flirting for weeks, it wasn’t until Tae shared the below image of herself and Jennings that made things official. While celebrating her birthday with Jennings she added, “Thank you for everything. #bornmonthlove #hesaidjustbecausetho #appreciated.”
Nelly and Tae who began dating sometime last year but broke up earlier in the year following speculation that he and his other ex and singer Ashanti were possibly rekindling a romance.
It seems, Tae wanted no part of the love triangle and saw her way out of the messy three-some.
Although Jennings is rumored to be a bit of a ladies man, our guess is that this is a rebound relationship for the actress. While she’s in her early thirties Jennings will turn 25 this September.
Whatever the case, we wish the couple, Nelly and Ashanti all the best.
