When you’ve loved a person more than you thought you could, and it’s just not enough, the easiest statement to make and hardest action to take is to let go.

Those two words, frankly, aren’t that easy. But here’s why you should simply walk away.

Not only will it be better for your mental and emotional health, you’re helping that person as well.

Someone once told me that no two people love the same, and, some people just don’t know how to love. Hurt people, hurt people. And by walking away from a person you’ve given your all to, you’re helping them figure themselves out. Time heals all wounds and you’ll both eventually learn some great lessons form the heartache and become better individuals from it.

Sometimes, you’ve got to love someone from a distance. You love them and wish them the very best, but you also prevent yourself from becoming an enabler and allowing that person to take advantage of your good heart and good intentions.

After you’ve both had time to heal and grow from the experience of a love gone wrong, or simply not at the right time, if you’re meant to be together you’ll find your way back to each other.

It’s as simple as that. Walking about isn’t as hard as we sometimes make it seems. It’s about allowing your heart to accept what your brain is already telling you.

What are your thoughts, sweethearts? Have you ever struggled to let someone you love go because the timing was bad or you just weren’t good for each other?
