Is Publicizing Your Marital Issues Healthy For Your Relationship?

I’ve always been told that your relationship woes should stay between you and your partner. Once you invite people into your personal life, your problems become theirs and you’re potentially opening up a major can of worms when others get involved in matters between you and your spouse. However, it doesn’t seem to work the same for celebrity couples. Perhaps, that’s the very reason most high-profile relationships do NOT work.

With that being said, it doesn’t seem to matter to Toya Wright and Memphitz Wright however. Or those reality TV checks are pretty convincing.

The duo’s split was highly publicized last year when Memphitz went on a social media rant about the troubles in their marriage (Read HERE). Thankfully his other half was wise enough to remain mum, until now.

Although details of what caused the couple to separate are still vague, in February Memphitz told Sister 2 Sister magazine, “I love my wife. Don’t get me wrong. Nothing has changed as far as the love. There’s no love deficiency…It’s just the fact that I’m staring to love myself a little bit more.”

And while I’m glad the couple still love each other and is willing to work through their issues, I don’t believe doing so on a new reality show is the best solution. Opening up their marital woes to millions of spectators with a million and one opinions will surely invade their privacy and stir the pot even further.

According to Ice Cream Convos, “Mickey “Memphitz” Wright and Toya Wright are coming together to split for good with the help of divorce attorney and mediator Vikki Ziegler on Bravo’s “Untying the Knot.”

Sweethearts, what are your thoughts on the matter?
