Following the inaugural ceremony and parade, The President and First Lady were commemorated at the Inaugural Ball. President Obama was the first to make his appearance before introducing his lovely wife. The couple then joined hands and took their first dance of the night to Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” sung by Jennifer Hudson. The song is a favorite of the President. A few years ago it sang it while delivering a speech and wowed the crowd.

The First Lady wore a red Jason Wu gown while the President wore a black and white tuxedo. Jason Wu seems to be a favorite designer of Mrs. Obama. He was also the designer she wore for the 2009 Inaugural Ball.

Alicia Keys was also on hand to sing for the President and the First Lady as well. She chose song “Girl On Fire” but reworded the lyrics to say “Obama On Fire” instead. See her performance below.
