Your Social Media Profile Should Reflect Your Brand

If you are just starting a business or building up your own online presence it is vitally important to have active social media profiles. In order to build up your presence, you must have a profile that reflects your brand and everything that you want to promote. If you understand the importance of social media, then you would understand why your profiles need to mirror everything that you are trying to bring attention to.

What is the purpose of social media?

Social media is used to build, promote, and increase the visibility of your brand. The reason that social media is necessary when building a brand is that it allows you to interact and engage with your target audience. Social media allows you to provide fresh content while reaching larger populations. If you are just starting out, building an audience that connects with your brand can be a challenge. Since there are many platforms, it is important to know which one aligns the most with your brand and what will help to bring the most traffic (ie: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).

What are you trying to promote?  When creating a profile, you should ask yourself what are you trying to promote and what do you want your audience to see? For example, if you are starting a Fashion blog, your posts might only be pictures of you wearing different outfits.  Since you are a reflection of your brand, you want to be the face of your company. Your profile should match everything that you are trying to build.

Your Profiles Should Match It can be confusing when you are searching for a brand or company on different social media platforms and their names do not match. When trying to search for a brand or company, the names should be uniform. In regards to social media marketing, it is important to make sure that all profiles are set up correctly so that you can reach as many people as possible. However, it is even more important to ask yourself, does your profile reflect your brand?
