Creating an Etsy store for your business

If you didn’t already know, we recently launched a digital store offering downloadable content for the By Her Own Rules community.

Of our collection, we share a 12-page guide on how to shift your day-to-day business operations online, if it isn’t already.

The pandemic has forced many business owners as well as aspiring business owners to leverage digital platforms, now more than ever in the place of in-person and client-facing transactions.

One of the platforms I am most excited about is Etsy. The platform is very easy to set up and drive your existing business or newly launched business forward. In fact, our decision to add an e-commerce store to our platform came after creating our own Etsy store for our business.

There are several categories you can choose from catering to your niche and industry. From jewelry and accessoriesclothing and shoeshome and decorwedding and party essentialstoys & entertainmentartcollectibles, and craft supplies.

One of the reasons I also advocate for creating an Etsy store for your business is the platform’s low-cost and easy-to-use interface. Just about anyone, whether a veteran business owner or a novice, can set up a shop. The platform is also especially great for artists and craft suppliers.

I came across one such store that I thought has leveraged the site very well in amplifying it’s business. Sketch Centric offers custom digital sketches and downloadable prints. And they’re really good!

Check out some of their amazing sketches and artwork:

It is Etsy stores like these that I love to come across and see how business owners are leveraging the platform, especially businesses that I’d never think about patronizing.

Have you or are you considering launching an e-commerce store-front? Creating an Etsy store for your business is definitely a great start until. At least until you’re able to move the store to your own dedicated platform.
